The 70th Annual Meeting Of The Members Of Niobrara Valley E.M.C. Held March 5, 2018
The Seventieth Annual Meeting of the Niobrara Valley Electric Membership Corporation was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in O'Neill, Nebraska on March 5, 2018. Present at the meeting were 73 members, 13 members represented by proxy and 19 guests.
Directors, retired directors and employees, and special guests were introduced.
Vice President, Mike Givens presented a plaque to President Krysl who is going off the board. Mr. Krysl was recognized for his 12 years of service as a member of the board of directors, with four of those years serving as President.
The board officers gave their reports.
General Manager, John Hoke gave the yearly report on the Cooperative.
There was no old business brought before the meeting.
There was no new business brought before the meeting.
15 Door Prizes were awarded to the following members present at the meeting.

The winner of the $200 Free Electricity Grand Prize: Bernard Kamphaus
The Attendance Prize of $400 Free Electricity and was drawn from the entire membership. The member drawn was not present at the meeting: Michael Sobotka
Next year's Attendance Prize will again be worth $500.
Two director terms were up for election. The results of the director election were reported to the meeting as follows:
District #1 - Naper Area Skye Higgins Incumbent - 73, Debora Vogt - 11
District #3 - Butte Area Jerry VanHousten Incumbent - 63, Kelly Bendig - 22
District #5 - Monowi Area Aaron Holz Incumbent - 76, Teddy (Ted) Vesely - 10
District #6 - Chambers Area Jerry Childers Incumbent - 62, Melvin Knox - 22
District #9 - Atkinson Area T.J. Flannery Incumbent - 43, James (Jim) Ramm - 42
At the conclusion of the report of the director election, the meeting was adjourned at 2:24 P.M.
