The 71st Annual Meeting Of The Members Of Niobrara Valley E.M.C. Held March 4, 2019
The Seventy-First Annual Meeting of the Niobrara Valley Electric Membership Corporation was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in O'Neill, Nebraska on March 4, 2019. Present at the meeting were 103 members, 13 members represented by proxy and 31 guests.
Directors, retired directors and employees, and special guests were introduced.
President, Mike Givens then presented a plaque to Mr. Forrest Peetz. Mr. Peetz was recognized for his 40 years of service as the corporation's attorney.
The board officers gave their reports.
General Manager, John Hoke gave the yearly report on the Cooperative.
There was no old business brought before the meeting.
There was no new business brought before the meeting.
15 Door Prizes were awarded to the following members present at the meeting.

The winner of the $200 Free Electricity Grand Prize: Tom Osborne
The Attendance Prize of $500 Free Electricity was drawn from the members present at the meeting: Francis Hanzlik
Next year's Attendance Prize will again be worth $200.
Four director terms were up for election. The results of the director election were reported to the meeting as follows:
District #2 - Spencer Area Ernie Eilers Incumbent - 79, Tony Boettcher - 29
District #4 - Bristow Area Roger Ruda Incumbent - 80, Luke Mahlendorf - 29
District #7 - O'Neill Area Mike Givens Incumbent - 65, Chuck Zegers - 14
District #10 - Stuart Area Daniel Kohle Incumbent - 82, Ralph Olberding - 21
At the conclusion of the report of the director election, the meeting was adjourned at 2:35 P.M.
