The 53rd Annual Meeting Of The Members Of
Niobrara Valley E.M.C. Held March 5, 2001

The Fifty-Third Annual Meeting of Niobrara Valley Electric Membership Corporation was held on March 5, 2001 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in O'Neill. Present at the meeting were 179 members, 38 members represented by proxy and 42 guests. Special guests were introduced and the officers gave their reports.

President, Frank Soukup made a few comments on the progress he has seen at the cooperative during the past 15 years. Four director terms were up for election. The results of the director election were reported to the meeting as follows:

Three directors retired from the Board of Directors due to the term limitation set in the by-laws. Recognized for their service to the cooperative at the meeting were:

Max Kunz:	May 1986 to March 2001
Frank Soukup:	May 1986 to March 2001
	*Served as Secretary - 7 years *Served as President - 7 years
Wayne Wendt:	March 1989 to March 2001
	*Served as Treasurer - 2 years
