Goodwill Fund Board of Directors

The Niobrara Valley Electric Goodwill Fund was incorporated in June of 1996 by the directors of Niobrara Valley Electric Membership Corporation, the REA, so members could voluntarily raise funds for community projects through Operation Round Up. All Operation Round Up donations are placed in a trust which is administered by an independent Board of Directors called the Niobrara Valley Electric Trust. The Trust is made up of community leaders who serve on the Board on a voluntary basis. It is the Trust Board who receive the funds, evaluate all requests for funds and decide how they will be distributed. Typically, the funding will be used to address crucial needs such as medical care, emergency shelter, and life saving equipment, but it is not limited to these categories.

The five directors meet quarterly to review the requests for funds from area organizations and charities. Applications for requesting funds are available from the REA office in O'Neill or from any of the Goodwill Fund board members.
