ROWSE Single & Double Bar Mowers
Mowing needs change from one field to the next and one person's convenience may
be another person's problem.
With this in mind, Rowse improved and expanded their line
of Mowers to include Hydraulic Driven Double Bar Mowers,
or PTO Drive Double Bar Mowers, both with your choice
of Pitmanless or Balanced Mower Heads, and now PTO
Drive Single Bar Mowers, either 3-Point Mounted or Trailing. Whether your
acreages are small and crops light or acreages huge and crops heavy, ROWSE has
a mower built for you!
Hydraulic Driven Double Bar Mowers
- The Hydraulic Driven Mower is designed for trouble free mowing day after
day, year after year and is affordable to own and operate.
- Two single acting valves are required to raise and lower the sickle bars.
An additional double acting valve is needed if optional Hydraulic Transport
Cylinder is used.
- The Mower hydraulics are self contained with the Hydraulic Pump and Motors
as standard equipment. The high speed, high-pressure Hydraulic Pump operates
off your tractor's 540 RPM Power Take-Off shaft. The pumps working capacity
is 3000 PSI with surge capacity up to 35000 PSI. Hydraulic Motors which are
high pressure & highly efficient power your choice of Mower heads and sickle
bars at 1000 RPM/2000 SPM on the Balanced head and 800 RPM/1600 SPM on the
Pitmanless heads. Operating at these speeds are recommended for optimum performance.
- The Rowse "Quick-Attach" hookup feature lets you mow and rake with the
same tractor for less investment.
- The Patented frame design of the Rowse Double Bar Trailing Mower makes
mowing many acres per hour possible. Then, in less than a minute, the Mower
can be switched to transport position to follow directly behind your tractor
for easy access through gates or behind a pickup at normal highway speed limits.

PTO Drive Double Bar Mowers
- If you prefer Power Take-Off Drive, Rowse has a Double Bar Mower built
for you!
- In accordance with your needs you may select either type Mower head and
sickle bar, both available in either 7 ft. or 9 ft. sickle bars.
- The Rowse Mowers operate off your tractor's 540 RPM Power Take-Off shaft.
- Two single acting hydraulic valves are required to raise and lower the sickle
bars. A third valve, double acting, is required when the unit is equipped
with the Optional Transport Cylinder. Five enclosed PTO drive lines distribute
the power to the V-belt drives which transmit all the power needed for smooth
cutting in tough conditions.
- The middle of the number one drive line is centered over the ball hitch
so that on 90 degree turns universal joints never operate over 45 degrees
eliminating vibration and damage to the drive unit.
- The V-belt automatically slips to provide overload protection if an obstruction
is hit. The belt is adjustable and can be tightened.
- The patented ROWSE frame design positions the Double Bar Mower properly
behind your tractor for efficient cutting. "Side Draft" is eliminated on the
tractor and is very minimal on the mower due to the high speed cutting action.
The "Quick-Attach" feature save you time and effort plus you can switch from
mower to rake in minutes.
- The Transport lever is located at the rear of the frame between the wheels.
By pulling the spring loaded pin and moving the lever you can switch from
mowing to transport position in seconds. In transport position the Mower will
travel directly behind the tractor for access through gates and behind a pickup
at normal highway speed limits. An optional hydraulic cylinder is available
to change the Mower position without leaving the tractor seat.

"Quick Attach" Trailing Mower
A tough mower for your mowing jobs.
- This trailing single bar mower features "Quick-Attach" hookup to free your
tractor for other needs in minutes. Other features include a rugged V-belt
drive and a breakaway safety release to protect the cutter bar. The bar relatches
automatically and easily when mower is backed up. The mower is available with
your choice of either 7' or 9' cutter bar. For easy transporting and inspection,
the bar is raised to a vertical position hydraulically. The bar may also be
lowered hydraulically to below ground level 20 degrees for cutting along ditch
banks or terraces.
- Operation requires a 540 RPM tractor PTO shaft and one single acting hydraulic
valve to raise and lower the cutter bar. The drive line to the tractor is
centered over the ball hitch which allow up to 90 degree turns. This constant
velocity virtually eliminates excessive vibration and protects against possible
damage to the drive line.
- The mower is available with your choice of either the Pitmanless mower head
or the balanced mower head.
3-Point Mounted Mower
Tough enough for the big jobs, but versatile enough to get the corners.
- The Rowse 3-Point mounted mower is designed to easily maneuver around your
tight spots, cutting those tough crops with ease. Other features include a
rugged V-belt drive and a break-away safety release to protect the cutter
bar. The bar relatches automatically and easily when mower is backed up. The
mower is available with your choice of either 7' or 9' cutter bar. For easy
transporting and inspection, the bar is raised to a vertical position hydraulically.
The bar may also be lowered hydraulically to below ground level 20 degrees
for cutting along ditch banks and terraces.
- Operation requires a 540 RPM PTO shaft and only one single acting hydraulic
valve to raise and lower the cutter bar. The mower attaches to a standard
3-point hitch and fits most ASAE category 1 and two tractors.
- The mower is available with your choice of either the Pitmanless mower head
or the balanced mower head.

Mower Heads
Balanced Mower Head & Sickle Bar Components
When you choose the International Harvestor Company type balanced Mower Head
and Cycle components you have selected a Balanced Head designed with just three
moving parts, riding on six precision tapered roller bearings. No pitmans, gears
or connecting rods to cause problems. The Balanced Head converts speed and power
to fast, powerful knife strokes. The sickles run at 2000 strokes per minute
for fast, efficient cutting action and faster travel through the field. Sickles
stay sharp longer, too! The Balanced design keeps knife sections in register,
parallel and exposed for sharp even cutting over rough ground. Bars may be raised
hydraulically to a vertical position for easy inspection and transporting, or
lowered to below ground level 20 degrees for even cutting along ditch banks
or terraces. Both heavy duty sickles bars are protected by an automatic Safety
Release. If an obstruction is hit the Mower bar breaks away, reducing the chance
of machine damage. Then simply back up the Mower and the bar automatically relatches.
Breakaway tension is adjustable for different field conditions.
Pitmanless Mower Head & Sickle Bar Components
If you prefer, your Rowse Mower may be equipped with the New Holland Pitmanless
Mower Head and Sickle Bar.
The Pitmanless design with parallel drive motion reduces noise, vibration
and eliminates any sickle register adjustment. The design also reduces wear
on knife assembly and hold-down clips for trouble free operation. Tapered roller
bearings are throughout the Pitmanless Drive Head for durability and less maintenance.
The sickles run at 1600 strokes per minute with long strokes between guards
to allow more of the crop to be cut in one stroke while the knife remains at
top shearing speed.

ROWSE Windrow Fluffers
Rowse Fluffers are Versatile!
No matter what type of crop...from edible beans and peanuts...to alfalfa,
small grains and even cane 9 to 10 feet tall.
- Versus ground-driven units, operations of the Rowse fluffer is totally
hydraulic, so you're guaranteed maximum response under any and all conditions.
- Two orbital motors are used and run in series, the first drives the pickup
belt wheel and the second drives the discharge belt. By running the motors
in series, your field travel remains at optimum speed. Speed of the belts
is regulated by a flow control valve. This feature allows you to adjust the
pick up belt speed to the same feet per minute as the ground speed--an important
factor in minimizing leaf loss and virtually eliminating "bunching" ahead
of the pick up.
- For turning ease and to assure adequate ground clearance for clearing fluffed
windrows, a hydraulic lift system is standard on the Rowse fluffer. Gauge
wheels on the pick up conveyor are adjustable for easy regulation of both
rigorous and not-so-rigorous contact with the ground.
- If you desire different windrow width, you'll like the Rowse fluffer windrow
deflector... adjustable to different widths. Plus, the deflector allows you
to change the angle of deflection for different crops and conditions.
- Left-hand discharge is standard, but right hand is discharge is available.
- If changing direction of the discharge belt to keep windrows separated
is important, a right/left hand model is available by special order.
- Choose a model that fits your needs! Rowse fluffers are available in 6,
8 and 10-foot widths, in both single and tandem models. For operators who
want to fluff two windrows per pass or combine two windrows into one, a special
hitch is available for hooking two fluffers together.
- If you want the best crop possible...get the best management tool for faster
and better curing and drying...the ROWSE Windrow Fluffer!

ROWSE Hydraulic Scrapers
- Rowse Scrapers are durably built, with all welded construction, to last
for years of heavy-duty, low-maintenance use.
- Their versatility allows you to move dirt, level land, dig holes, clear
areas and drain or fill low spots. The complete operation is controlled by
one single-spool, double-acting hydraulic valve.
- The Rowse 300 Model Hydraulic Scraper is designed for loading with smaller
horsepower tractors but "built tough" for use with larger tractors too.
- The Rowse 500 and 700 Model Hydraulic Scrapers are designed for use with
two or four-wheel drive tractors. Both have a gooseneck hitch to allow 90
degree turns for easy maneuverability around obstacles.
- Adjustment plates on rear wheels are standard equipment. They are used
to adjust minimum or maximum standard spread depths, and for leveling cutting
edge if the blade is cutting deeper on one side.
- Rowse Scrapers are equipped with 2 1/4" pivot pins through bucket and frame
with extra large cylinder shafts (3500 WPSI).
- The Scraper Bucket is flat in loading position, keeping overall height
down when loading.
