The online payment system provides an easier to use interface and more payment options. By logging on to the secure site you can choose how you wish to pay your bill, with the option of a one time credit card payment, a recurring credit card payment or just submit meter readings. Also available are E-check payments, which make a payment directly from your checking/savings account.
Go to the Payments menu tab and then Online Payment tab that will take you to the login screen. The first time you use this site, you will have to register and setup a password. You will need to know your account number with Niobrara Valley Electric. If you have any difficulties or questions about the online payment process, please give us a call at 336-2803 or 800-967-1987 and we can help you navigate the site.
You can view your current bill, look at up to 13 months of previous bills and even look at a chart of your usage for the past 13 months. If you choose you can select to eliminate your paper bill. The first time you log on to the system, you will be asked if you want to continue to receive a paper bill; if you choose not to, you can select this option at a later time. You also have the option on the payment screen to store your payment information or set up a "recurring" credit/debit card payment.
All payments will be posted to your account throughout the day between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Any payments received after 9:00 p.m. will not be posted to your account until 7:30 a.m. the next day. Payments are processed at 9:00 p.m. each day.
On the back of your electric bill is a form for setting up a recurring credit card payment, automatic direct payment or change of address. If you send in information for us to set you up for one of these payment options, please be sure to check the box on the front of the payment stub.
