The 73rd Annual Meeting Of The Members Of Niobrara Valley E.M.C. Held March 1, 2021
The Seventy-Third Annual Meeting of the Niobrara Valley Electric Membership Corporation was held at the Community Center in O'Neill, Nebraska on March 1, 2021. Present at the meeting were 91 members, 6 members represented by proxy and 23 guests.
Directors, retired directors and employees, and special guests were introduced.
The board officers waived their reports since they were printed in the Annual Meeting Notice.
Mr. Givens requested a motion to amend the meeting agenda to move the Election of the Directors to the next item of business.
Five director terms were up for election. The results of the director election were reported to the meeting as follows:
District #1 - Naper Area Skye Higgins Incumbent - 72, Lee Cadwallader - 19
District #3 - Butte Area Ronald Atkinson - 43, Kelly Bendig - 48
District #5 - Monowi Area Aaron Holz Incumbent - 61, Teddy Vesely - 28
District #6 - Chambers Area Jerry Childers Incumbent - 69, Sammy B. Young, Jr. - 22
District #9 - Atkinson Area T.J. Flannery Incumbent - 64, Harold Klinger - 29
General Manager, John Hoke gave the yearly report on the Cooperative.
Mr. Givens then addressed the Board Re-Districting issue under old business. Due to the COVID restrictions on meeting attendance in 2020, the board delayed taking any action at this time. There was no other old business.
There was no new business brought before the meeting.
15 Door Prizes were awarded to the following members present at the meeting:
Ed Boyle, Karen Havranek, Dean Seger, Huston Farms, Norman Nielsen, Richard Boettcher, Ron Bouska, Dick Mlnarik, Sharon Larson, Barry DeKay, Ronald Atkinson, Tom Storjohann, Oliver Horton, Larry Ackles and Kenny Hoffman
The winner of the $200 Free Electricity Grand Prize: Vicky Krieger
The Attendance Prize of $300 Free Electricity was drawn from the entire membership. The member drawn was Hale Neumiller
Hale was not present so next year's Attendance Prize will be worth $400.
At the conclusion of there being no additional business from the floor, the meeting was adjourned at 2:34 P.M.
